The Hybrid part is good; The Kia part is terrible
by Wild Bill on Friday, July 18, 2025
We’ve owned our Sportage HEV for 2 years. In that two years, we’ve had the car at the dealership several times for things that fall under warranty….but what fun is it to have the following replaced on a garage-kept, hand washed, meticulously maintained car: door handle replacement, headlight replacement, rear hatch lock replacement. Now that the car has 30K miles, it’s time for another headlight replacement, another door handle replacement and the turbo is malfunctioning. The dealership assures us that everything is fine but I will not be purchasing another Kia. We love the hybrid feature. We do not enjoy the lackluster sound system and terrible build quality. Eight trips to the shop to have things fixed in the first 2 years isn’t my idea of a good vehicle. - 1.0
Don’t buy.

I thought this was a great car for the first year but have had multiple problems now with it. It has broken down while driving and now won’t start. The check engine light pops on and the car shuts down when anything it cause the check engine light to come on. Very disappointed with this purchase. - 4.0
I really like it
by Nancy on Saturday, October 25, 2025
I haven't had any issues so far with my standard 2025 Kia Sportage X Pro. I'm loving all the tech. I have had it for about 10 months now. Put almost 7k miles on it.
