Employee Training Program Fosters Growth and Consistency

The Young Automotive Group is investing in the foundation of its success-its people. With a keen awareness of the importance of a strong team, the Young Automotive Group has created Young Automotive Group University. This unparalleled employee training program aims to foster growth and create consistency throughout the Young Automotive Group.

Consisting of nine dealerships and Rocky Mountain Raceways, the Young Automotive Group is training every employee throughout the organization to develop to his or her fullest potential. The foundations of the training include time management, communication and personality types, accountability, and leadership.

Through its manager training program, Young Automotive Group University has trained more than 70 managerial level employees. The program includes round-table workshops as well as weekly individual coaching.

"Through continued expansion and growth, we are developing the leadership capable of taking on new assignments and responsibilities.  We are also able to successfully integrate those who join us so that they can continue a successful career within the Young Automotive Group. We are providing a culture of ascension throughout the organization," says Jeff Taylor, Young Automotive Group University Director.

"One great benefit resulting from Young Automotive Group University is the ability to move salespeople, managers, and staff between dealerships. The elimination of silos contributes to the company culture being consistent throughout the organization," says Taylor.

This interactive training is not just for upper-level executives. Rocky Mountain Raceways, in West Valley City, has begun educating its part-time employees on the foundations of Young Automotive Group University, focusing on customer service. "I have never had this type of customer service training at a part time job. I hope that the skills I learn here will help me progress in my future security career," says Keith, a first year event staff team member.

"We are one of the only tracks in the country to make this investment with our staff. Having Young AutomotiveGroup University and Jeff Taylor available makes our facility and operation better," says Mike Eames, Rocky Mountain Raceways General Manager.

"Our product is cars, trucks & service.  But our business is taking care of people - our customers and our employees," says Taylor.
